The Kwara South All Progressive Congress, APC, Elders Council has condemned the move by a youth group in the senatorial district to initiate a recall process of the Senator representing Kwara South in the National Assembly Dr. Rafiu Ibrahim.
The elders councils in a statement issued and signed by its Acting chairman Honourable Kola Yusuf in Ilorin the Kwara State capital yesterday.
The group stated that the regular consultations of Senator Ibrahim with the leadership of the party at ward, local government, state and the leadership of the Senate under the leadership of Senator Bukola Saraki has been misconstrued as a weakness.
It added that it is unfortunate to note that any group is contemplating a so called recall process of Dr Rafiu who is one of the most active senator of the 8th senate.
To this end it advised that the peaceful atmosphere which is being enjoyed in the senatorial district should therefore not be disrupted by any group or individual through false claims and publications.
