Kano Places Ban On Tricycle Operations After 10pm

Kano State Government, on Monday, officially banned the operations of Tricycle operators, popularly known in Kano as ‘A Daidata Sahu’, after 10:00pm, this new law came into limelight as a result of various reports that Hoodlums have been using tricycles to perpetrate their criminal activities in the state.

According to a statement issued and signed by the state Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba, after a state security meeting, the ban takes effect from Thursday, July 21, 2022.

“The measure was part of efforts to ensure security of lives and property in the state,” it stated.

Garba however urged tricycle operators to comply and stop operating at the stipulated time, warning that security agents would strictly enforce the ban.
