Chad’s newly re-elected President Idriss Deby Itno is Dead.
An Army spokesperson, General Azem Bermandoa Agouna made this known in a state television.
According to him, Deby died after succumbing to injuries while commanding his army against rebels in the north of Chad during the Northern Chad offensive.
“Deby has just breathed his last defending the sovereign nation on the battlefield”, said, the Army Spokesperson.
Deby, 68, has been in power for three decades.
