Insecurity:Zamfara Governor Meets With President Muhammadu Buhari In Abuja

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday received Governor Mohammed Mattawalle of Zamfara State at the State House in Abuja.

The President later held an indoor meeting with the governor.

Gov.Bello, after the brief meeting told journalists at the presidential villa that he was sent for by the President to discuss on the security issue in his state.

He stated ,that 358 special police forces have been dispatched by the Federal Government to the state to fight against banditry and insecurity.

He also urged governors from Northern states to accept RUGA as a strategic means of putting an end to farmer/herders crisis.

Zamfara State is one of the states confronted with the challenges of banditry and insecurity.

Governor Mattawalle’s administration has overlooked bandits lately under the campaign which seek a peace deal for the bandits to surrender their arms so that peace can continue to reign in Zamfara and other parts of Nigeria.
