The Akinlade Mandate Group has declared that the 56 Atiku Support Groups that worked for Hon. Adekunle Akinlade during the recent Ogun State Gubernatorial elections have come together to implement and establish some decisions to further complement their efforts in ensuring the reclaim of the candidate’s mandate.
The following is a statement signed by the group’s Publicity Secretary, Adeolu Akande and made available to FirstNigeriaNews.

It reads thus:
The Akinlade Mandate group will like to have on record after very thorough sessions of sensitive deliberations among our members and due consultation of stake holders and all necessary structures, the 56 Atiku support groups in OGUN STATE that worked for Hon Adekunle Akinlade during the last governorship election in Ogun state decided to implement and establish the following decisions, as well as make it known to our supporters and the general public.
*(1)* That the group shall now be known as *THE AKINLADE MANDATE GROUP.*
*2)* That we have taken this decision in order to ensure that we continue to pursue our goal, doing everything lawfully available so that the mandate popularly given to Hon. AKINLADE(the governorship candidate of the APM in Ogun State)by the good people of Ogun State in the just concluded gubernatorial elections is restored
*3)* That we shall not relent on this course until our goal is achieved. We shall continue to take our strength from the popular support of the youths and the good people of Ogun State who displayed their preference and believe in Hon Akinlade through their votes during the elections; and their yearnings after INEC made announcement of election results that was obviously against the will, wish and expectations of our people.
Thus, the leadership of the group wishes to encourage all members to continue going about our regular duties of lawful publicities, update broadcasts and sensitisation of the public using all available platforms.
This we will also take as a call to service for ourselves as our own way to contribute our quota to correct the menaces of vote buying, INEC’s insincerity and rigging, which have all eaten too deep into our polity for too long.
Once again, we thank the youth and the good people of Ogun State for their continuous support.
Together we can, and together we will win.
Adeolu Akande
