FG Appoints Nwabuoke As The New accountant general

The Federal Government through the Permanent Secretary (Finance), Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Aliyu Ahmed has appointed Anamekwe Chukwunyere Nwabuoku to oversee the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation.

This followed an ongoing investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of the suspended Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, for alleged N80 billion fraud.

The appointment is pending the outcome of the EFCC’s investigation, the letter stated.

He is was the Director, Inspectorate Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation as at the time of his appointment and also the first from the south east to occupy the position as the Accountant General of the Federation.
