The Police Service Commission in a statement on Monday by its spokesman, Ikechukwu Ani, head of Press and Public Relations disclosed that it equally promoted 8 Commissioners of Police to Assistant Inspectors-General of Police, 23 Deputy Commissioners of Police were promoted to Commissioners of Police and 31 Assistant Commissioners to Deputy Commissioners of Police
The new AIGs include a former acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, who was the most senior in the commissioner of police cadre.
