Edo Royal Friends extends charity arm to state primary institution.

As part of activities to mark its 10th anniversary, Edo Royal Friends Club, Lagos recently donated 5,000 branded notebooks to pupils of Ore-Oghene Primary School, Benin- City, Edo State, Nigeria. The donation which apart from being an extension of the club’s usual show of charity to establishments of Edo origin, was also facilitated as part of the club’s corporate social responsibility efforts to the school which is alma mater of some of its members.

Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman of the club, Mr. Felix Onaiwu Osadiaye said the club gave the gift in commemoration of its 10th anniversary and also to give back to the society some of its key members originated from.

Present also at the occasion was the representative of the state’s Commissioner for Education, Mrs Omoghiator.

In her response at the occasion, the school’s Headmistress, Mrs. A.A. Owviagele thanked the Chairman and other members of the club present at the occasion for the kind gesture and appealed to other clubs and societies to emulate the club’s benevolence by also offering charity to needing and deserving public institutions in the state.
