The National Primary Health Care Agency (NPHCDA) disclosed that 513,626 persons have gotten the first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine across the country.
This was revealed yesterday in a press release by the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA).
It stated that the country has vaccinated 25.5 percent of the target population against COVID-19. The agency disclosed that the Kogi state is yet to start receiving vaccinations because the state had not received the vaccines. According to NPHCDA, Lagos led with the highest number of doses administered with 110,042 people.

Ogun state followed with 47,507 vaccination; Kaduna, 38,063, Bauchi, 32,482, Katsina, 28,918, Kwara-26,473 and Jigawa, 23 089. Other States with numbers of those vaccinated are: Abia, 22; Taraba, 111 and Kebbi, 532, Akwa lbom, 3,106, Anambra, 2,631, Bayelsa, 2,223, Benue, 4,833, Borno, 8,289; Cross River, 3,690; Delta, 6,304; Ebonyi, 1,187; Edo, 12, 495; Ekiti, 9,494; Enugu, 4,298; FCT. 18,080; Gombe, 3,520; Imo, 7,793; Kano 18,915; Kebbi, 532 and Kogi, zero, Nasarawa, 11,509 Niger, 1,662; Ondo, 18,368; Osun, 17 202; Oyo, 1,798; Plateau, 7,856; Rivers 8,795; Sokoto, 2287; Taraba, 111; Yobe 14,748 and Zamfara, 1,174.
The Healthcare Agency revealed that the country now has 3,426,374 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccines to be dispatched across the nation.
Nigeria received 3.94 million doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine from the COVAX facility on March 2 and commenced vaccination on March 5 with healthcare workers.
