“All parents want the best for their children, but economic inequality is usually a hindrance to children’s outcomes”.
The Founder of a non-governmental not for profit and non-political organisation SHOKESTA DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE that has been in the forefront of providing succour and ameliorating the plights of the vulnerable groups in the society, Soyebi Oluwakemi Abiodun stated this on an online interview in Abuja to mark this year May 27, 2020 Children’s Day celebration, the International day set aside to remember and celebrate children all over the World.
According to Soyebi Oluwakemi Abiodun popularly known as SHOKESTA WOMAN, the recently appointed South West Nigeria Coordinator for International Institute of Chartered Project Management (IICPM)
“what happens in the home is paramount to children’s early development. Economically disadvantaged children’s limited access to cognitively enriching home environments , may help drive growing gaps in cognitive and non-cognitive skills, producing a feedback cycle that leads to low socioeconomic mobility and further grows inequality,” adding that “policymakers should identify new targets for programs aimed at enhancing parent-child interactions in low-income families”.
Emphasizing the compelling need for children’s proper upbringing, she enthused “The sweetest period of anyone’s life is their childhood. Children are the Most Precious of God’s Creations. They spread fragrance of love wherever they go. And spread joy and happiness in every season. We should handle them to care and love”.

For her: A child can always teach an adult three things:
(a) to be happy for no reason,
(b) to be always busy with something and
(c) Know how to demand with all his might what you want.
Many policymakers have neglected the critical role of parenting in children’s development. Parents do more than spend money on children’s development; they also promote child development by spending time in cognitively enriching activities and by providing emotional support and consistent discipline.
All parents want the best for their children, but the “parenting divide” between economically advantaged and disadvantaged children is large and appears to be growing over time. The main barrier to designing and scaling up parenting interventions nationwide is currently the limited understanding of the key ingredients of successful programs. Policymakers need to become better informed on effective interventions that can motivate and support parents to engage effectively in their children’s development.

Mrs Oluwakemi Soyebi who is also the founder of Awe International city of peace ( http://www.internationalcitiesofpeace.org/cities-listing/awe-nigeria/ ) a community peace building Initiative to strengthen peaceful coexistence in Nigeria, is using this Children’s Day celebration to express her very warm wishes for all the children including the special, vulnerable children on this special day, adding that “Our children’s happiness means a lot to us and caring and providing for them must be our utmost priority”
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
She also used the medium to wish her Father Apostle Dr Solomon Mustapha Oni J.P, popularly known as BABA SEBIOBA the General Overseer of Seed of Christ Golden Church Land of Reality Worldwide happy birthday whose birthday is on the 27th of May.
SHOKESTA who is also the “Ìyá Ijo ” of the church pray that Baba Sebioba will achieve that strong God’s calling to deliver unbelievers from darkness unto the light of God. “You are with God, and whoever is with Him shall never fail, but continue to succeed in whatever he touches”. You are a blessing not only to our generation but to the coming generations. Thank you for your captivating and inspiring sermons. Your sermons are so touching and have inspired many all over the world to always strive hard to do the will of God always”.
“Your messages have touched millions of lives and penetrating every nook and cranny of the world. I pray that God continues to be your guide. May He give you the strength to win more souls to His kingdom. May God continue to increase your knowledge and wisdom. And may He grant you good health and strength to deliver His words to the people till your last breath in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

And to Prophetess Eunice Mustapha (Mama Sebioba) she appreciate her “For all of her sacrifices, both visible and invisible…thank you ma. God sees them all”.
