The Police Command in Delta, on Thursday rescued 16 abducted victims in Ogor, near Ughelli South LGA of Delta.
The Command spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, disclosed in a speech in Asaba, that the victims were rescued on Wednesday.
“On March 3, 2021, at around 19.37 hrs, a distress call was received that about 16 workers of one Mr Zion Onofighe, a hotelier, were invaded by bandits at his building site in Ogor, Ughelli.
“Patrol teams rose up to the scene, later engaged the bandits in a shootout.
“They successfully rescued the hotelier and 16 workers without any form of injuries.
“A Toyota Highlander jeep was also regained by the Patro Team from the scene,’’ Edafe said
