All twenty-three aspirants who were screened by the All Progressives Congress for the Presidential Primary will now participate in the election.
It can be recall that the Chief John Odigie-Oyegun led screening committee had last Thursday disqualify 10 aspirants from contesting for the presidential race which leaves 13 aspirants in the race.
On Sunday 13 Governors of the party from the North, who are insisting on power shift further reduced the number to five after their consultation with the National Working Committee, NWC, following directives of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The five aspirants were Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Chief Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi; Governors Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti) and Dave Umahi (Ebonyi).
