Prof. Babagana Zulum the Borno state Governor, has approved the dissolution of the State Executive Council for the first time since he assumed office in May 2019, adding that all documents be submitted to their respective permanent secretaries with immediate effect.
PUNCH has it that, the governor’s spokesperson, Isa Gusau, said in his words that, the dissolution letter was signed by the Permanent Secretary, Administration and General Services, Danjuma Ali, on behalf of the SSG.
The dissolution, which is coming weeks before primary elections of political parties is aimed at allowing interested politicians to legally participate in the forth coming primaries and Congress of the APC or any other party they wish to contest on its platform.
Zulum, according to the statement, expressed appreciation to members of the executive council for their adequate discharge of their duties while they held offices and wishes them the best of luck in future endeavors.
