The All Progressives Congress (APC) has successfully achieved a 100% upload of its governorship, deputy governorship, and State House of Assembly candidates into the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Candidate Nomination Portal (ICNP).
The party’s National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, disclosed this in a statement on Friday, August 8, 2026.
“The All Progressives Congress, APC, has completed 100 percent upload of its governorship and State Assembly candidates into the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Candidate Nomination Portal ahead of the 2027 general elections,” he declared in the statement.
According to him, 56 Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates have been successfully processed.
He also disclosed that 1,015 State House of Assembly candidates have been completely documented, while 471 Federal-level candidates (including Presidential, Vice Presidential, 109 Senatorial, and 360 House of Representatives slots) had been completed in a previous phase.
With the INEC submission portal fully populated, Prof. Yilwatda stated that the ruling party is transitioning directly into grassroots mobilization, campaign activities, and driving support for the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
