The Gala culminating a week long activities of the 21st anniversary of Gem Private School, Omole Phase 1, Ikeja, Lagos held at the Imperial Hall, Alausa, Ikeja on Saturday, 19th October, this year.

The event chaired by the Ogun State Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Engr. (Mrs) Noimot Salako-Oyedele was attended by top government functionaries, private sector players, top educationists, the media and others.

Below is the Welcome Speech by the school’s Acting Director, Mr. Olumide Hafeez Ànjorin.

Interview with Gem Private School’s Acting Director, Mr Hafeez Olumide Ànjorin during the institution’s 21st anniversary celebrations

An old pupil of the school and, as a matter of fact, the first intake to be registered in the school twenty-one years ago, Agbolade Abass Esq. (LL.M International Arbitration, Trade and Investment Law) also gave an account of his experience at the school.

In her speech at the occasion, the Ogun State Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele congratulated the entire management and staff of the school on the anniversary and also stressed her familial relationship with the late founder of the school. She also urged the members of the Ànjorin family to continue tirelessly on the good works laid down by the late erudite educationist.

*The late Dr. Mrs. Humulkhair Oyindamola Ànjorin was the First Female Polytechnic Rector in Africa as well as Chairman, Commonwealth Association of Polytechnics in Africa (CAPA).
