A two-storey building on Chris Igadi Street, off Ago Palace Way, opposite Kilimanjaro/ AP filling station, Lagos state, collapsed around 3am this morning. However no life was lost because people evacuated the buildingg before it came down.
The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, while responding to the incident said nobody was trapped in the building because it gave sign several hours before its collapse so everyone living in the building had already evacuated before it finally collapse.
He concluded that the site will be handed over to LABSCA and Ministry of Physical Planning for further investigation.
