A 47-year-old accountant, identified as Afolake Abiola on Friday, has committed suicide by drinking an pesticide at her house located at 1 Abayomi Kukomi Close residence in Osapa London, Lekki, Lagos.
A source who spoke with newsmen state that Afolake had suffered depression for a while due to her been single and childless which eventually resulted in her taking her life.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of Lagos state police command SP Benjamin Hundeyin said the incident happened on May 27, 2022 and her corpse has been released to her family for burial.
