The Federal Government has been sued by Abba Kyari, a detained and suspended deputy commissioner of police, before a Federal High Court in Abuja over his ongoing imprisonment by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
Kyari is requesting an order from the court to be released immediately in the FHC/ABJ/CS/182/22 lawsuit.
Alternatively, the suspended DCP, who is being held by the NDLEA on suspicion of hard drug trafficking, wants the court to grant him release with lenient conditions.
An ex-parte application filed with the lawsuit is due to be heard today by Justice Inyang Eden Ekwo.
