The former Governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has implored support of Gov. Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State in pursuit of his presidential ambition in 2019 election.
Lamido made the request when he visited the governor in Ado Ekiti.
Report says he appealed to party leaders to form a strong alliance so that the party could win the 2019 poll.
According to him “We can defeat them easily if we all share the same thought and pains as Nigerians are feeling now’’.
Lamido, who lauded Fayose for his courage, describes the governor’s bravery and vocal attitude as an impetus to the country’s democracy adding that he decided to visit Fayose to discuss with him on his presidential aspiration.
However, Fayose described Lamido as a man of courage and character who is able to stand up for the people, in spite of intimidation.
He said that Lamido remains one of the few Fulani leaders with capacity and exposure to deliver.
