Despite the fact that the Federal Government had denied that there were ever shootings at the October 20 Lekki peaceful protesters, US-based media giant, CNN has released an investigative report.
Reacting to this report, the Minister of Information and Culture said that CNN should be sanctioned for misinformation and irresponsible reporting.
CNN however, insisted that it did not rush to publish the report as it ensured due processes were followed, which included thorough research.
“Our reporting was carefully and meticulously researched, and we stand by it.
