An apparently desperate Nigerian in the diaspora, evidently frustrated by the present trend in rulership and governance in Nigeria, met with and engaged the Minister of Interior, Alhaji Rauf Aregbesola in a verbal battle recently at an American restaurant.
Aregbesola in a fairly friendly manner, had asked the diaspora element to sit with him after he introduced himself as a Nigerian.
Instead of sitting down with him as requested by Aregbesola, the man went ahead to start recording the scenario with his mobile phone.
An embarrassed Aregbesola demanded that the ‘videographer’ desisted from recording but the man refused and started throwing words at him (Aregbesola).
“You have no right to record me without my permission and clearance”, Aregbesola said.
“I have every right to record anyone or anything I want to have. This is America and not Nigeria where you do whatever rubbish you like”, the “videographer” said.
