Veteran Nollywood actress, Bose Adewoyin popularly known as Madam Tinubu has passed away on Tuesday morning and was buried on the evening of the same day.
Late Adewoyin is famous for her role as in ‘EFUNROYE TINUBU’ which earned her the nickname ‘Madam Tinubu’. The play was written by Professor Akinwumi Isola and directed by Gbenga Adewusi in 1989 and it recorded a major success in Nigeria and abroad.
Aunty Bose, as she was fondly called, was a talented actress, dancer and costumier. She was on the contingent of the Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture that performed Funmi Odusolu’s famous dance musical, ‘ORÍ’ (Destiny).
Madam Tinubu costumed many plays for stage and screen while she also acted. Another popular movie she featured in was Funke Akindele’s ‘ỌMỌ GHETTO alongside Oga Bello (Adebayo Salami).
While she played Mama Onimama, Oga Bello played Baba Onibaba.
She worked in thecLagos State Council for Arts and Culture and participated in many editions of the National Festival of Arts and Culture, NAFEST.
