Video: PVC DISTRACTION: COMPLAINTS PERSIST AS INEC OFFICIALS OPERATE AT SNAIL SPEED

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has put measures in place to make sure that the general election scheduled for February 25 is devoid of hitches.

Lists of PVC Collection Centres have not only been made available in the public domain, INEC staffs have also been deployed to the centres to promptly attend to the registered voters.

Lagos State Government has also taken a laudable step by declaring a two-day public holiday so that workers in the state’s service will not have excuses for not collecting their PVCs.

In spite of all these measures, there are complaints that many people have not gotten their Voter’s Cards.

While some people heaped blames on the pace at which the INEC Officials are operating, others are of the opinion that they are deliberately working at snail speed so that many people would be disenfranchised.

The video here is an instance of such public outcry. We hope that the Federal Government and INEC Chairman will look into the complaints and do the needful as a matter of urgency.
