Panic has enveloped residents of Ishara and Ogere in Ikenne and Remo-North Local Government Areas of Ogun following the threat of attack by suspected bandits.
Panic ensued in Remo local government area of Ogun state has message allegedly written by bandits who intend to attack Ishara and Ogere communities was being circulated.
A principal in Ishara was reported to have confirmed that the letter was written to the two communities.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP, Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident, saying that investigation is ongoing as regards the letter.
“We are not leaving any stone unturned in arresting the people behind the dangerous letter.”
When asked if he sighted the letter, Oyeyemi said, “We saw a composed letter, we discovered that mischief maker wrote it. Aside from that, we are not in any way relaxing on operational activities across the state so with or without any letter, we ensure that we put a very strong security arrangement on ground to ward off any form of a situation from any angle. We are on ground.”
