A 23-year-old man, Godspower Adigheti, had reportedly macheted his girlfriend to death at Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area, Delta State for smaching his iPhone 11 PRO MAX mobile phone.
A source who spoke with newsmen said the deceased had gone out without notifying the boyfriend and on her return the boyfriend asked where she had been, this caused a fight and the girl broke his phone iPhone 11 Pro Max which got the gut angry and he attacked her with a cutlass.
The source, who craved anonymity, said until her death, the deceased cohabits with the suspect and had a baby girl for him.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident in a statement, saying that a fight ensued between the deceased named Gift Oloku, 22 years and the suspect and that Gift was taken to the hospital where she was confirmed dead
Edafe said: “The suspect claimed that she damaged his iPhone 11 Pro Max phone while they were fighting, which angered him and he used a machete on her. He however noted that the suspect is currently in their custody and investigation is ongoing.
