Ogun police arrest four suspected cultist members

The Ogun State Police Command through its Public Relations Officer in the State, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi have disclosed on Wednesday that the police has apprehended four suspected members of the Eiye cult group.

Their arrest was made by the CSP Shobiyi Oluwatoshin led anti-cultists section on the order of the state Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, when they were reportedly holding a nocturnal meeting in preparation for an attack to be launched on members of another cult group.

Oyeyemi said the suspects, Oriyomi Bankole a.k.a Ortom, Odedina Sodiq, Shofola Ayodeji, and Adelawa Ayo were arrested at different locations in Oke-Lantoro and Technical College, Leme in Abeokuta

SP Oyeyemi listed arms found with them to consist of; cutlass, battle axes, and criminal charms.

The PPRO said the commissioner of police,  Lanre Bankole, had assured the people of the state that the command would not relent in its efforts to rid the state of criminal elements masquerading as cultists.
