The reinstated Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, has spoken publicly about his reinstatement, where he stated the importance of accepting the will of God.
In a sermon during Friday prayers at the Kofar Kudu Central Mosque in Kano, Emir Sanusi urged people to trust in God’s plan, saying, “Whoever believes that Allah alone gives everything must take the decision of Allah wholeheartedly. No one asks Allah’s reasons for anything.”
Emir Sanusi encouraged people to be thankful in both good and bad times, believing that everything that happens is predestined by God. He also reminded the congregation that of the oncoming Zhul Hijja, a beneficial period, and encouraged them to observe supplications during this time.
This comes after Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State reinstated Emir Sanusi last week, following the repeal of the Emirate Law, which had previously divided the Kano Emirate into five emirates. The repeal also abolished the five emirates, paving the way for Emir Sanusi’s reinstatement.
