The killing of Isah Umara has been confirmed by the Police in Jigawa State. The incident happened in aturiya Village, Kirikasamma Local Government Area of the state.
The spokesman of the Police Confirmed that the victim was burnt to ashes for allegedly switching a boy in the same village.
According to him, “On 23rd May, 2020, the Police in Kirikasamma Local Government Area received a call that one Amadu, alias Officer of Baturiya village ganged up with his friends and attacked one Isah Umara of the same village, accusing him of bewitching his son.”
“On receiving the call, the police rushed to the scene to rescue the man under attack. On arrival, we found that the victim was burnt to ashes in a shop where he was hiding from the attackers, and the attackers took to their heels.”
The burnt body was taken by the police to the hospital where he was pronounced dead
Three of the suspects were said to have been arrested and the case still under investigation
