Protests has been ongoing in the Yan Tumaki town in Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina against insecurity, particularly kidnapping in their area.
Residents started protesting hours after kidnappers visited the town and abducted a man identified as Alhaji Mansir Yusuf along with his daughter in the early hours of Tuesday.
Channels Television gathered that the residents were protesting what they described as the renewed and worsened insecurity in the area despite the presence of security operatives.
It is recalled that last week Sunday, 55-year-old chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Batsari Local Government Area, Abdulhamid Mamman Sani was killed by bandits in an attempt to kidnap him.
