The Former Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Abdullahi Dikko, is dead.
It was stated by newsmen that the Katsina State indigene, who led the Nigeria Custom Service(NCS) from 2009 to 2015, died after a dreadful illness.
The ex-customs boss had been battling a probe by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission as well as the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission.
His house disclosed to worth about N1.1bn and also cars worth hundreds of millions of naira were seized by the EFCC under the leadership of erstwhile Chairman, Ibrahim Magu.
Moreover, his case could not proceeded due to his bad health.
In December 2020, the ICPC and its Chairman, Prof Bolaji Owasanoye, were confronted from arresting and prosecuting Dikko.
