The Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ebonyi State Mr. Nwoba Chika, said the gunshots that were fired at its state secretariat on May 3, 2022, were not a result of any crisis, this statement came up after the Governor David Umahi’s threat of sealing the Secretariat.
The Governor, had, on Sunday, warned that if there was any further record of gunshot within the state PDP secretariat, henceforth, he would seal it off.
Chika in his words said, “We are a law-abiding political movement that has always adopted decorum and rule of law in carrying out its activities.
Chika said the policemen had to fire the shot in the air to calm down supporters of different aspirants who wanted to engage in a fight within the Secretariat.
He however expressed his dissatisfaction at the governor of the state for uttering such words out of his mouth.
