In the ongoing Consumers Value Awards (CVA) 2024, consumers are having their say on their preferred brands across various categories. With over 40 categories listed, consumers are voting for their Value-for-Money brands, and the results are trickling in.
According to the CEO of BrandXchange, Mr. Akonte Ekine, the initiative is transparent and objective, driven by consumer nominations and votes. The first month’s results show MTN leading in the Telecommunications category with 51.1% of the votes, while Spectranet takes the top spot in the Internet Service Provider segment with 47.6% of the votes.
New categories like Sanitary Pad and Ice Cream are also gaining attention, with Always Sanitary Pad leading at 63.6% and Just Delight Ice Cream at 36.2%. Other leading brands include Samsung (40%) in the Television category, Trophy (50%) in Alcohol Beverage, and Pepsi (62.5%) in Carbonated Drinks.
The voting platform also shows a tie between Kings Oil and Power Oil in the Cooking Oil category, as well as between Colgate Toothpaste and Close Up Toothpaste in the Regular Toothpaste category. Dabur Toothpaste leads in the Herbal Toothpaste category with 55.6%.
Other leading brands across various segments include Lafarge Cement (62.5%), Dangote Sugar (55%), Leadway Insurance (57.1%), Eva (38.5%) in Table Water, and Maltina (40%) in Malt Drink.
The voting, which will close on June 30, 2024, aims to recognize brands that have met consumer expectations and provided value for money. With consumer satisfaction at its core, the CVA 2024 is set to celebrate brands that have made a positive impact on consumers’ lives.
As the voting continues, consumers are encouraged to participate and make their voices heard. The final results will be announced at the CVA 2024 awards ceremony, where the winning brands will be recognized and celebrated.
