The strike embarked upon today, Monday, January 22, 2023 by the National Union of Air Transport Employees and Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria and Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, have been suspended.
According to the Deputy General Secretary, ATSSSAN, Frances Akinjole, the strike is suspended so that the aviation workers can commence negotiations on the salary issue.
It would be recalled that international flights at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport were grounded as workers at the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc embarked on the strike. This led to passengers along international routes being stranded
