The Academic Staff Union of Universities, has declared an indefinite strike.
The Union’s National President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, made this announcement at a press briefing in its National Secretariat, Abuja, on Monday.
According to him, the bone of contention is over the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System and the non-implementation of the 2009 agreement.
Biodun however added that, the government failed to address the issues raised.
Meanwhile, ASUU had on Monday, March 9, 2020, declared a two-week warning strike.
