No fewer than 114,083 people have died across Africa due to the coronavirus pandemic, the African Centre for Disease Control and Prevention disclosed this on Tuesday.
In its latest update, the health agency disclosed this over 4.2 million cases have been confirmed and registered, while over 3.8 million have recovered to date.
The continent has concluded in conducting laboratory tests on 40.59 million tests.
Of the five geographical regions on the continent, Southern Africa recorded more than 1.9 million cases, North Africa 1.3 million, East Africa 522,000, West Africa 433,600 and Central Africa 137,800.
No fewer than 60,300 people have been killed by the disease in Southern Africa, 36,400 in North Africa, 9,400 in East Africa, 5,800 in West Africa and 2,200 in Central Africa.
