Abandoned Newborn Baby Rescued by NSCDC in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has recovered an abandoned newborn infant.

The CDPRO Zamfara State Command, DSC Ikor Oche, made the announcement in a statement.

The infant boy was spotted in a rubbish bin near Unguwar Yarima Gusau by good-hearted Nigerians, according to the statement.

Following that, the Corps’ attention was immediately drawn, and the Corps’ medical staff, as well as the intelligent Departments, sprung into action.

The baby was naked at the time of the recuse, but Commandant A A Sparks, the state Commandant of the Corps, quickly dressed him.

Before a thorough handover to the orphanage home, Commandant Sparks made sure the child had all he needed.

The baby was officially handed over to the sole administrator of the Gusau Local Government and then sent to an orphanage home under the watchful eye of the corps.
