President Bola Tinubu has assured that his administration is committed to creating a solid foundation for Nigeria’s children, enabling them to achieve their dreams.
Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, made this known in a statement to mark this year’s celebration of Children’s Day. Children’s Day is celebrated in Nigeria every year on May 27th.
In his message, President Tinubu expressed his admiration for Nigeria’s youth, who he described as “the bearers of the nation’s torch into the future.” He also extended his congratulations to parents, guardians, and families, urging them to strengthen family values. “The family unit should be a place where the sacred values of honesty, modesty, hard work, and charity are instilled in the shining lights of tomorrow,” Tinubu stated.
“Society is a reflection of each family unit as a collective,” he noted, calling for the preservation of principles that contribute to a nurturing and thriving nation.
The President also underscored his administration’s investments in education, including the recent overhaul of the education system to enhance both human and material resources for learning. He praised the efforts of the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education, aimed at getting children off the streets and into schools. “My administration will continue to expand access to qualitative education for all Nigerians,” he affirmed.
Moreover, Tinubu has reassured the nation of his dedication to ensuring a safe and secure learning environment while improving educational standards. “We are committed to creating a safe and secure atmosphere for learning and improving the quality of education,” he stated.
