President Bola Tinubu has officially closed the investigation into the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and expressed gratitude to Jim Obazee, the special investigator, for his diligent service.
Announcing this through a State House press release, by Special Adviser, Media and Publicity pokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu lauded Obazee for a job well done.

The probe, initiated following the suspension of Godwin Emefiele as CBN governor, saw Obazee submit a comprehensive report to President Tinubu in December, alleging significant financial misconduct.
With the conclusion of the investigation on March 31, 2024, and the submission of the final report, Tinubu formally closed the case, acknowledging the efforts of all involved in the follow-up actions by law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
