Nigeria facing worst unemployment crisis in history – World Bank

The World Bank has said in a report that Nigerian is facing the worst unemployment crisis in the nation’s history.

The report was published by the World Bank with support from the Korea World Bank Partnership Facility (KWPF) and the Rapid Social Response (RSR) trust funds.

In the report contains other factors that the researcher has found to be the major factor that’s contributing to this crisis which is women’s vulnerability in the Nigerian labour market,unsuitable employment policy and worsen by the recent COVID-19 Pandemic.

6 Nigerians top FBI’s most wanted list

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), an intelligence and security service of the United States (US), has announced that six Nigerians are at top on its list of most wanted people.

According to the agency, the Nigerians on the wanted list, include Michael Olorunyomi, Richard Izuchukwu Uzuh, Alex Afolabi Ogunsakin, Felix Osilama Okpoh, Abiola Ayorinde Kayode, and Nnamdi Orson Benson, all accused of executing a business email compromise (BEC) scheme.

FBI said that through the scheme, the suspects defrauded more than 70 different businesses in the U.S., resulting in a loss of over $6 million.

Every married woman is a prostitute, says relationship therapist

An Asaba based relationship therapist, Mrs. Amaka Ifebi, has urged women not to call their fellow women prostitutes.According to her, every married woman is a prostitute and should not in any way tag another one such name.

She said that as far as a woman has a relationship with a man whether on the ground of marriage or friendship means that such woman is not a virgin.

She, however, warned women as well as girls to desist from calling their fellow women prostitutes, adding that all women who have relationship with opposite sex are the same.

Saraki Congratulates Emir of Ilorin, New Traditional Title Holders

The Immediate Past Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has congratulated the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and the eight new traditional title holders who were named into the Emirate Council on Thursday.

This is contained in a statement signed on his behalf by the Head of his Media Office, Yusuph Olaniyonu where he commended the traditional ruler for always trying to bring development into Kwara State and seeking the progress of indigenes of the Emirate.

In his words he said “Once again, I congratulate the Emir and the new traditional title holders as I also welcome the new title holders into the Emirate council and pray that their appointment will further engender peace, security and development of Ilorin and Kwara State”.

Tinubu’ll be worse than Buhari, Adeyanju warns Nigerians

Deji Adeyanju, Popular Nigerian rights activist,has warned Nigerians against considering Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as a replacement for President Muhammadu Buhari come 2023.

This he said while reacting to a report that hoodlums tagged as “Agberos” make N125billion yearly in Lagos State.

In his words he said “Tinubu will be a worse tyrant than Buhari. Look at how he runs Lagos State like a pig farm. Removed a Governor like a Council Chairman.“He pays hoodlums a.k.a Agberos N125billion annually. That’s more than money most states get in a year.”

Police arrest couple for faking kidnap to defraud father of N5 Million

The police command in Niger State has arrested a man, Mohammed Mohammed, and his wife, Sadiya, for alleged conspiracy and self-kidnapping.

The command’s PRO said that the couple DSP Wasiu Abiodun said in a statement in Minna on Friday that the couple live in Chanchaga LG and Sadiya was reported to have been kidnapped on July 15, on Old Airport Road in Minna after closing from work.

After a ransom of 5million naira was paid by her father,she was released and invited for questioning by the police where she later confessed to having stage the kidnap with her husband.

Kill condemned inmates to decongest prisons, Aregbesola tells state governors

Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has urged State Governors to sign the death warrants of condemned inmates to decongest correctional centres countrywide.

He said that 3008 condemned inmates had been on death row for a long time, stating out that the governors had to be courageous in signing their death warrants.

He also said that some others should be set free on compassionate ground, especially those who have grown old on account of the long time they have been in custody, those who are terminally ill and those who have been reformed and demonstrated exceptionally good behavior.

“Offend me with truth, don’t placate me with lies”-Edwin Clark

Following the recent report where IPoB had described the former federal commissioner and elder statesman, Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark as “a spent force” who is unqualified to speak for Niger Deltans.

Former Senate Whip, Roland Stephen Owie had defended the statesman in a statement circulated via WhatsApp,where he mentioned that he had known Clark since 1971.

He also quoted him to have taught him and others to “Offend him with the truth and not placate him with lies- and never say in private, what we cannot say in public.”

Sunday Igboho seeks asylum in Benin Republic

It has been gathered that Yoruba Freedom Fighter Sunday Igboho has resorted to the option of seeking Asylum in the Republic of Benin.

Recall that he and his wife had been arrested on Monday, July19 2021 at an Airport in Benin while traveling to Germany.

The head of Igboho’s legal team, Yomi Alliyu (SAN), had also in a statement noted that his client could not be extradited because the 1984 Extradition Treaty between Nigeria, Benin and two other countries excluded political refugees like Igboho.

Document reveals Kanu registered IPoB as Private Limited Company, appointed wife as director

A Nigerian-based online medium, Elombahnews, has disclosed details of a document, that shows that the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPoB), Nnamdi Kanu registered IPoB as a private limited company appointed his wife as director.

Recall that Nnamdi Kanu and his lieutenants under the command of Directorate of State (DOS), have been under intense fire from critics who described the organizational structure of the movement as “family- oriented”
