Spokesperson, Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Dr. Hakeem, Baba-Ahmed has urged the President, Muhammadu Buhari to resign, saying that he had failed to secure the lives of the citizenry.
According to him, life has lost value, the security situation under the President’s watch is getting worse, and there is no indication that it is going to improve.
Baba-Ahmed however reiterated that, the President is the General, the Commander-in-Chief-of-the-Armed-Forces, a Military man and does not have any excuse about not knowing how to fight wars.
He therefore urged the president to have respect for public opinion and resign honourably, just as leaders who fail to protect the lives of citizens do in civilised countries.
