A Former staff of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Olubummi Akinyosoye, has cried out to Nigerians to come to her aid as she is confined to bed with stroke.
Narrating her ordeal, Akinyosoye, who started her career in NTA in July 1979, said that she became sick in 2017, three months before she lost her mother.
Speaking on how the ailment has affected her life and business, the 60-year-old Former Model said, “When I left NTA I worked with Chase Merchant Bank as a secretary,.I worked in John Holt, worked in a company called Nandina industries, where I was PA to the Executive Director.
“I also worked with a Philippine company, Alliance in Motion Global and I had to open a branch in Ipaja because I was doing well. However, the illness struck and I have spent everything I have. My old classmates have been helpful, sending me money to feed.
“Initially, I was told it was a partial stroke but I have sold everything, including my business for treatment. I spent three months in LUTH, going twice a week from Ipaja to Mushin and paying N12,000. In addition, I have tried trado therapy also.
She added that, the ailment has made her to start begging and living from hand to mouth.
“I have to go to the clinic every Tuesday and because I can’t walk, I spend N10,000 every week on that. How long will I remain like this? I want well-meaning Nigerians to come to my aid.
“As I speak, I have lost my accommodation. Am squatting with a couple. I lost my only surviving son and my husband walked away.
I am just alone with God”, she narrated.
