Dr Akinwumi Adesina is the President of the African Development Bank. He achieved a lot as Nigeria’s Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. Until his appointment as Minister in 2010, he was Vice President of Policy and Partnerships for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa.
Dr Akinwumi Adesina was elected as the President of the African development bank (Afdb) in 2015 after his appointment as the Minister of Agriculture and rural Development had ended.
Dr Akinwumi has always been an advocate for Africa’s Development through Agriculture and has made history as the first president of Afdb to be re-elected with 100% vote.
“I am impatient for Africa’s accelerated development”, he stressed.
Dr Akinmumi Adesina has challenged and encouraged a lot of Youths in Nigeria and across Africa to spearheading good governance in Africa through agricultural innovations and eradication of poverty.
