Pandemonium took the order this morning at the Ijora, Olopa axis of Lagos as police and the Okada Riders went on gun duel.
The atmosphere at the Ijora Central park arena was heavily tainted with fears of impending calamity that even commercial motorists operating in the area had to change routes or drop their passengers at safe distances from the main arena.
An eyewitness told FirstNigeriaTV that some of the Okada Riders had guns sporadically shot despite the presence of heavily armed policemen also returning fire. The witness was also not sure that any life was lost as no unarmed persons were able to reach the real battleground.
