The former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has advised the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi against using Bola Tinubu’s alleged drug charge against him.
Obi on Tuesday filed his petition to challenge the victory of Tinubu in the 25 February presidential election.
In his petition before the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja, Obi alleged that the election was filled with various irregularities.
He also stated that Tinubu’s forfeiture of his funds to the US government over drug trafficking allegation is an indication that the former Lagos State governor committed infractions that should disqualify him from running for an election in Nigeria.
In his reaction to Obi’s suit, Omokri noted that the drug allegation won’t fly considering that the case had earlier been thrown out by the court.
He therefore advised that Tinubu should be shackled with actual evidence that he rigged the election.
