Prostate enlargement or cancer is an ailment that is very common among the black men.
An enlarged prostate also known as prostate enlargement or Benign Prostate Hyperplasia(BPH) is the increase in size of the prostate such that it blocks the flow of urine through the urethra. It is the most common prostate issue among men. The prostate gland surrounds the urethra which is the tube through which urine flow out of the body. The Prostate is an almond sized muscular gland in the male productive system. The prostate helps to move urine and semen through the penis during ejaculation. As men grow older the prostate gland becomes enlarged leading to what is called Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia(BPH).
Prostate enlargement is a common problem among men with figures reaching over half of men experiencing symptoms by the age of 60. If the condition is so common what’s the big deal about having an enlarged prostate. When the prostate enlarges it starts to interfere with the passage of urine and semen through the penis out of the body.
An alarming prevalence of prostate issues is on the increase among younger men in recent times. More alarming is the fact that these men ignore the early warning signs until the condition becomes an emergency.
