The Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has described Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party, as a ‘Nollywood Actor’ that cannot win election.

El-Rufai made this remark while speaking during ‘Journalist Hangout’ programme on Television Continental (TVC) recently.

The Governor admitted that Peter Obi has prospects in the South East and South-South geopolitical zones but wondered where that will lead the Labour Party’s candidate.

He stated that the total number of registered voters in Anambra State is not more than that of a Local Government Area in Kaduna State. According to him Obi cannot score 25 per cent of the votes in 16 states. “How can he then win the election?” He querried.

For a candidate to emerge winner of the presidential election, he must not only have the majority vote, he is also expected to score not less than 25 per cent of the votes in cast in 24 states of the federation.
