Reports have shown that most of the Secondary Schools now compel their students to pay twice above the amount stipulated by Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for UTME registration.
This development is confirmed in the attached video showing the discovery made at one of the registration centres by the JAMB Registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede.
While a teacher confirmed that the school charged Four Thousand, Seven Hundred Naira (N4,700) for registration as against the stipulated N3,500, one of the students affirmed that each of them actually paid N8,000.
