VIDEO: GHANAIAN POLICE CLASSIFIES NIGERIANS AS NOTORIOUS CRIMINALS

There is a maxim in law that says: “Suspects are to be treated as innocent until proven guilty.” This appears not to be applicable in Ghana as Nigerians who fell victims of police raid in the West African already tagged them ‘notorious criminals’ before carrying out proper investigations.

Much as one may not outrightly rule out the possibility of some those arrested being culpable, fairness demands that they should have been accorded with minimum respect until they are found guilty of the offences they are suspected to have committed.

We appeal to the federal government to monitor the unfolding senario in Ghana to ensure that there is no miscarriage of justice.
