Kogi Central Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 25 poll Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, a vocal voice against the Yahaya Bello administration in Kogi State was involved in an accident on Friday April 14.
The accident occurred along Lokoja-Abuja road.
Mrs Akpoti-Uduaghan who was said to have arrived at the Lokoja hospital unconscious requested immediate transfer to Abuja when she regained consciousness.
A source at the Lokoja Hospital said she was brought in unconscious but was resuscitated with rapid response by the management.
“When she came around and discovered she was in Lokoja, FTH, she requested to be transferred to Abuja that night. They left here minutes after 6pm for Abuja. You know here won’t be safe for her. She was stable when they took her from here,” the source added.
Akpoti-Uduaghan is challenging the results of the senatorial election that produced Abubakar Sadiku-Ohere of the APC as winner.
