The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, says the Federal Government must review the Oronsaye Report before implementation, or be ready to face stiff opposition.
President of the Union, Tommy Etim-okon at a briefing in Abuja on Monday says government must know the righ steps to take in cutting the cost of governance and not by laying off already poorly paid workers.
Etim-Okon says all agencies to be merged, scrapped or subsumed according to the Oronsaye report, were established by Acts of the National Assembly and, until those laws are repealed, implementing the content of the Report will be an invitation to litigation.
Meanwhile, President Tinubu has approved a 12-week period for the implementation of the Oronsaye Report.
